The Riddle of Washpool Gully

Background image: In front of a black background there is a person, holding two puppets, one puppet looks like a small person, the other like a skeletal wallaby. These puppets sit on top of a green mountain scape and there is a moon in the middle of the image in the black background.

Description

A kid and their mum have pulled up in a new town - a tiny town, one which nearly everyone has forgotten. They don’t really want to be there and they keep fighting.

But there is something deep in the scrub, in a dry old creek bed once called Washpool Gully, which is starting to stir.

Pullout quote

The Riddle of Washpool Gully is a stunning piece of theatre which will appeal to young and old… A seamless hybrid of puppetry and live action.
  • Two people who are in front of a black background hold a small boy puppet up on top of a green mountain landscape, this is a very close image so you can clearly see the segments of the boy puppet's limbs. In the background there is also a moon. The boy puppet is also reading a book.
