You & Us

We want to work on your project: we work on commission and in partnership on a shared vision.

Commission us

Applying our creative skills broadly, we tackle projects ranging from puppet design and construction to festival installations and social impact initiatives.

We assemble specialist teams for each unique project, assisting from initial ideation through to construction and delivery.

Recent commissions we’ve worked on include the design and build of Rum'un: A Tasmanian Mascot for the Tasmanian Football Club, including devising its character and backstory, working with as many young AFL fans as possible, and in collaboration with Tasmanians. The co-design, build and delivery of an installation highlighting young people’s voices for the Tasmanian Commissioner for Children and Young People; designing, building and directing a giant whale puppet for Junction Arts Festival; and convening a collective of artists to create an interactive table tennis game for the 2022 Commonwealth Games.

What we bring

As our world becomes increasingly digitised, there is a corresponding yearning for the physical.

We see it every day in the wide eyes of students watching our school performances, and in the gentle reaching hands of aged care residents meeting a cat puppet. We can bring this authentic, human touch to your projects, whether they’re for big public space audiences, small group settings or use onscreen.

Our craft

Our craft includes niche skills and transferable creativity.

Out of our North Hobart workshop we design and make puppets, installations and props in-house; creations brought to life by a team of professional Tasmanian makers and designers. These are diverse in scale and scope - a giant whale, or a hand puppet fish for television - and we can manage the process for you from idea to delivery, all with a focus on resource stewardship and sustainable making.
